Join us this Tuesday, May 21- it's going to be great!
Kate Gaertner, is our local Business Working Group leader and founder of TripleWin Advisory will be presenting the necessity and opportunity of pursuing deep corporate sustainability measures within business: what it means, what it entails and the benefits to be realized. Are you interested in learning how to embed corporate sustainability into your business or organization?
Before founding TripleWin Advisory, Kate manufactured sustainable women's clothing for a decade. She has a background in developing go-to-market strategies for Fortune 200 companies. She has been a professor of eCommerce Merchandising at F.I.T., and a speaker at entrepreneurial and global sustainability conferences. She is also the author of a book on climate change and sustainability.
Brian Ettling, our Program Director Chair, is a professional Climate Change Communicator, Organizer, Writer, and Public Speaker. He will be speaking on the importance of contacting your members of Congress for Climate Action.
Over the past 8 years, Brian has given over 200 climate change talks in 11 different states; in Ottawa Canada and Washington D.C. as a Climate Reality Leader, CCL volunteer, Toastmaster and seasonal park ranger at Crater Lake National Park. In giving these talks, Brian was surprised to learn how rarely citizens contact their members of Congress to lobby them for climate action. He hopes to inspire you to regularly contact your members of Congress with this Truth in 10 Talk.
We also take time for those joining us to share other group initiatives and how we can support them. There will be time to socialize at the end of the meeting. Please come, and invite others!
