Earth Week Action Items

Thank you to all who joined us for last Tuesday's Chapter meeting!

For those who missed it, we had great presentations from Forth Mobility and Green Mondays (where you can schedule a free presentation for your organization).

We also had time to hear about what our members are involved with. Here are some of the upcoming actions for Earth Week:

350 PDX is holding a rally tomorrow- April 21, 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm in front of Zenith Energy’s Portland Terminal. Details here.

Renew Oregon Youth and Allies Rally on the Capitol Steps April 22, 3pm. Register here.
|
Say Happy Earth Day to friends, family, and strangers and tell them about Clean Energy Jobs and how THEY CAN HELP.

- Text to 971.248.2723 and enter CALL, 2019 or SIGN (Each of these options takes you to a Renew Oregon website with complete instructions.)
- Enter CALL for a call script and direct line to your Representative and Senator.
- Enter 2019 to email your legislators. A standard email is provided and it can be edited to make it more personal.
- Enter SIGN to sign the Oregon Youth Climate Petition.

Please write to the members of the Joint Committee on Carbon Reduction. Please send them this week (BCC to jane@janestackhouse.com). Jane can email you sample talking points and list of contacts if needed. We will post them on our FB page as well.

Eduardo introduced his organization to our group: Go Green World Fest, which translates their climate change initiatives into Spanish, Russian and other languages to reach a wider audience. They have a planning meeting coming up April 25.
