Update this week: Action Needed!
Clean Energy Jobs Bill: HB 2020
The Clean Energy Jobs bill just passed out of Ways and Means and will be going to the House for a vote any day now.
I'm reaching out personally to you because we need you for the final push next week during the Climate Week of Action. Industry lobbyists are flocking to the Capitol and our lobbyists are outnumbered 10 to 1, we are going to create a physical presence in the building all of next week. Volunteers and organization staff will wear CEJ shirts and take shifts sitting in the chairs by Senate office elevators on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floor. If you can join us at any point to do work from your laptop, knit, solve a Rubix cube, and take part in grassroots climate action activities, then please RSVP here and invite your friends, family, colleagues, and anyone else interested, to do so too: http://bit.ly/climateweekofaction.
Team, OLCV/Renew Oregon is going to be in Salem every single day to stand up for climate action until HB 2020 passes both the House and the Senate. And we need your help! Can you join us in Salem on a day or two that works for you during our Climate Week of Action?
Dates: Monday, June 17th, through Friday, June 21st
Location: Oregon State Capitol Building 900 Court St. NE, Salem, OR 97301 (meeting on the second floor, Senate side, elevator bank)
Morning Shift: 9:00am to 12:30pm
Afternoon Shift: 12:30pm to 4:00pm
Please let me know if you have any questions. Even if you cannot check in when each shift begins, please RSVP. We need to have an accurate count of climate supporters to know how much we need to recruit.
