The Climate-Friendly Food Committee’s mission is to:

  1. Educate ourselves and others about the relationship between food choices and climate change,
  2. Be a trusted source of evidence-based information about how food choices affect greenhouse gas emissions and carbon sinks,
  3. Partner with or support other organizations,
  4. Create actions and activities that introduce and move people to eat a climate-friendly diet, and

Support the food-related goals of local climate action plans in the Portland Metro area, such as the Multnomah County & City of Portland Climate Action Plan.
