Climate Legislation

Work to pass powerful climate legislation that will significantly reduce emissions, prioritize a Just Transition to clean energy, and support a healthy environment throughout Oregon

Mission

To provide climate expertise regarding climate legislation in the Oregon state house to CRPDX members and the broader community.

Vision

We envision influencing the Oregon state house to pass transformative climate legislation reducing GHG emissions and prioritizing a Just Transition to 100% clean energy in Oregon by 2045.

Action

The CRPDX Legislative Committee works to advance smart, equitable climate policy by collaborating with other organizations, meeting with our legislators, providing public comment, and writing letters. We focus mainly on state level policy and advocate based on 5 pillars: a just transition to clean energy, zero carbon transportation, climate justice and public health, green communities, and a fair, representative democracy.
